If you’re a Husky, you’ve probably sung “Bow Down to Washington” or shouted “Tequila!” to the sounds of the Husky Marching Band. Now you can raise a glass in their honor at the Toast of the Northwest, an international wine festival to benefit the Husky Band Foundation. Toast to the Northwest will take place on May 13, 2006, from 3 - 8:30 p.m. at the UW Dempsey Indoor practice facility, and feature celebrity host (and UW alum) Richard Karn of television’s “Home Improvement” and “Family Feud.”
Toast to the Northwest will showcase wines from Oregon, Idaho and Washington, as well as feature excellent wines produced worldwide. The event will include wines available for tasting or purchase, a buffet, educational seminars, and more.
