As the summer kicks into high gear, we're revving up for lots of great activities to lead us through the dawg days and into fall. While the campus scene is always buzzing with activity, we're also setting our sights far and wide to bring Huskies together. Along with a local wetlands "safari," barbecues in Washington, D.C., and California, and a vineyard lecture in Portland, we've got a brand-new event that promises to grow into a fun tradition: Husky Summer Weekend.
If you've ever lived out-of-state, or even traveled on vacation, you know the great feeling of connection you get when you see someone with a UW cap or T-shirt. During Husky Summer Weekend on August 13, 14, 15, we're hoping to bring as many alums together as possible to revel in all things Husky! Whether it's a soiree for 70 or a tea for two, gather a group of your Husky pals and tell us how it goes! We'll be posting pictures and giving you the scoop on all the celebrations across the nation, so be sure to let us in on who showed up. With your participation, we can make this a summer highlight for years to come.
But we're not just about the future; we also value the past. We're still collecting memories and memorabilia for the fall exhibit in Suzzallo Library. Please share your stories and items for all to enjoy, and help strengthen Husky ties to the past, present and future.
For all the other hot tickets we've got for you this summer, visit our What's Happening calendar, and join us for a lecture, tour, wine tasting and more!
