In the April edition of UW NewsLinks, we asked how much NIH funding did the UW receive in fiscal year 2004?

  2. $365.6 million
  3. $488.5 million
  4. $506.2 million
  5. $598.7 million

The correct answer was #3. According to U.S. News & World Report, the UW received $488.5 million from the National Institutes of Health for fiscal year 2004, making it the top public medical school in the nation for NIH funding. Only the Harvard School of Medicine received more funding.
