Activity Level: Moderately Active
Please Note: There are still 2 spaces available on India 2009.
India abounds with riches—mystical and spiritual, chaotic and confounding. Trace the country’s classic Golden Triangle, starting in bustling Delhi. Continue to legendary Jaipur, one of the great cities of the Rajput known for its pink sandstone buildings. Search for elusive Bengal tigers and other wildlife at Ranthambore National Park, once a royal hunting ground. Travel to Agra to visit the sublime Taj Mahal as well as Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri, all UNESCO World Heritage Sites. See the evocative Hindu temples at Khajuraho and the holy city of Varanasi on the Ganges, a sacred place of pilgrimage.
Our trip to India was a wonderful learning experience; a two week intensive course learning about the history, art, music, architecture, religion, politics and customs of India – Wow!
