Tour the dramatic Snaefellsnes peninsula and travel to beautiful Lake Myvatn in the north with its mud flats, lava fields, and volcanic craters. See Dettifoss, Iceland’s “Niagara,” in Glacial River Canyon National Park. In southern Iceland, visit Thingvellir National Park, Skogar’s excellent museum, and the lovely village of Vik. Conclude the tour with a stay in the sophisticated capital Reykjavik.

Optional Extension: A three night package to Greenland is also available.

Professor Terje Leiren is outstanding. He was one of the reasons we chose this tour. His lectures and personally designed answers to questions made this trip so memorable. His presence is a must!
