University of Washington Alumni Association
Meet. Learn. Cheer. Travel. Act.
Each year, UW Alumni Tours works with the most professional and experienced tour operators that are selected based on their expertise in destinations, all-around professionalism and financial stability.
By working with a variety of tour operators, we are able to offer a broad spectrum of tours to meet different travel tastes and expectations. Most importantly, all of our operators are dedicated to educational travel in the pursuit of life-long learning.
UW alumni have been traveling with AHI Travel (previously known as Alumni Holidays) since the 1970s. Offering deluxe international educational tours, AHI is known for its European river cruises and offers a wide selection of destinations through their Alumni Campus Aboard series. Through lectures, excursions and "meet the people" exchanges, these campus tours allow for an intimate experience in small towns and off-the-beaten-path destinations. Popular with UW alumni, many travelers have participated in five or more AHI campus tours. More recently, AHI introduced a new format of alumni tours—International Lifestyles Explorations. These tours allow travelers to immerse themselves in a local lifestyle by living in a fascinating locale for an entire month.
Go Next & Oceania Cruise Line
In 2009, UW Alumni Tours partnered with Go Next to bring UW alumni and friends luxury cruising with Oceania Cruise Line. Through their partnership with Oceania, Go Next secures group space for a variety of university alumni association clients and acts as the universities' cruise agency. Working with the cruise line, Go Next takes care of reservations for all alumni clients from start to finish, ensuring excellent customer service throughout the process. Go Next was founded in 1972 and has been providing quality travel programs for alumni groups and other professional associations since then.
Considered a leader in expedition and ecotourism travel, Lindblad Expeditions' small ships take travelers to many out-of-the-way and inspiring places. Dedicated to educational travel, each cruise includes a highly professional team of experts to help travelers learn and appreciate the natural world.
Founded in 1998, this small, privately-owned East Coast tour operator is a four-time honoree of Travel + Leisure's World's Best Tour Operators award. A favorite of UW alumni, Odysseys has emerged as a leader in affordable, high-quality small group travel. With a maximum of 24 participants, its tour groups stay in smaller, unique hotels and offer one-on-one cultural experiences not available to larger groups. Odysseys further distinguishes itself by employing highly-educated, local tour directors who explain the history and culture of the destination throughout the tour.
With innovative journeys to legendary places by private jet, TCS & Starquest Expeditions employ an emphasis on in-depth educational experiences and highly personalized services. Each tour gives travelers insider-access to hidden places, includes some of the finest accommodations available, and offers exclusive events featuring traditional entertainment and delicious local cuisine.
