Message from the Director
Can you believe it's Fall already? I've noticed the hustle and bustle on campus as everyone prepares to welcome new freshman and returning students to the UW. Leaves are quickly covering campus lawns and there is a definite chill in the air. Meaning - rain and cold are just around the corner and it's the perfect time to plan a warm weather escape by signing up for a UW tour!
We've just added Morocco, Turkey, Ukraine, Norway and the Dalmatian Coast to our 2006 Fall line-up. Interest in traveling to Vietnam continues to be very strong and we've just added our third departure to take care of demand. Having been on the same trip earlier in the year, I'd be happy to tell you all about it.
Have a wonderful Husky Fall!

Trips Added to 2006 Line-Up
Dalmatian Coast - May 30-June 7
The Dalmatian Coast offers a wondrous collection of medieval towns, Roman ruins, rivieras and idyllic islands. Now it is our pleasure to repeat an educational tour of this superb region and its fascinating cultures aboard the intimate yacht M.Y. Monet. This 60-passenger vessel will cruise from romantic Venice to the ancient towns of Pula, Split, Dubrovnik and Zadar. More...
Russia - aboard the MS Kazan - June 9-20
The cruise on Russia's waterways continues to sell very quickly! We've had many alumni tell us that they'd like to take this trip if it was offered on a smaller ship with more spacious cabins. I'm delighted to announce that we've found such a ship and we've added a new Russia program in 2006. With only 120 passengers and a cabin size of 167 sq. ft., the MS Kazan is Austrian owned and operated and is the only 5-star vessel cruising the Russian waterways. (Additional information is currently not available on our Web site. We'd be happy to notify you as soon as it's available.)
Ukraine: Alumni Campus Abroad - July 8-16
Be one of the first alumni travelers to cruise the magnificent Dnieper River from Kiev to Odessa on a newly created campus tour. Tour highlights include the a private performance of the Ukrainian National Choir, the Cossack Glory Museum and Horse Show, an excursion into the Dneiper River Delta, a tour of St. Sophia's Cathedral and much, much more. And, of course, all excursions, lectures and meals are included in every alumni campus abroad tour. (Additional information is currently not available on our Web site. We'd be happy to notify you as soon as it's available.)
Norwegian Splendor - July 23-August 7
With so much interest in this year's cruise in Norway, we have decided to repeat the trip in 2006. Once again, UW Professor Terje Leiren will accompany the trip and lecture during the five nights spent aboard a first-class coastal ship. Beginning in Helsinki and finishing in Oslo, the trip also includes visits to Ivalo, Kirkenes, Hammerfest, Lofoten Islands, Trondheim, Bergen, and Geilo. More...
Turkey: The Blue Voyage - October 1-16

Moroccan Discovery - October 23-November 5
This land of dramatic contrasts invites us to take in its ancient ruins and sacred mosques, endless desert and storied mountains, imposing Kasbahs and spirited souks.
