Readers didn’t mince words when answering to the December 2008 Alumni Vote question: “What’s the biggest challenge the UW’s new football coach will face?”
Responses ranged from the terse (“winning the hearts of the fans”) to the very terse (“WSU”). “Recruiting” and “upper campus” each received multiple votes. One reader suggested it would be “balancing winning with a clean program,” adding, “It’s my understanding Tyrone Willingham got half of that equation right.”
