Alumnae Board Scholarship
Who: This scholarship is open to incoming freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors.
What: This is a full-tuition scholarship awarded annually to approximately 15 students.
How: The Alumnae Board has a private selection process based on financial need, scholastic achievements, leadership and personal essays. A select group of applicants will attend two interviews with the Alumnae Board.
When: Applications for 2010 will be available in November. More information about this scholarship.
UWAA Legacy Scholarship
Who: This scholarship is available to undergraduate juniors and seniors, including transfer students, but not current degree holders, who are enrolled as full-time students in Fall 2008. Students must have a parent or grandparent who holds a degree from the University of Washington and is a current member of the UW Alumni Association.
What: This scholarship program offers three $2,500 awards each year.
How: The UW Alumni Association offers this scholarship to encourage and support children and grandchildren of alumni to continue the UW legacy in their families. Funds for these scholarships come from select UWAA event proceeds and private donations. Recipients are selected on the basis of financial need, scholastic achievement, leadership and community service. These are "one-time" awards and are not automatically renewed for the subsequent year, although students are welcome to reapply.
When: Application deadline is Feb. 27, 2009.

Remo S. and Sheila A. Galvagno Scholarship
Who: This scholarship is available to undergraduate juniors and seniors, including transfer students, but not current degree holders, who are enrolled as full-time students for Fall 2009. The award is designed to support students who have balanced academic achievement and leadership with a strong work ethic.
What: One full-tuition scholarship per academic year.
How: The Galvagno family and Air Van present this scholarship opportunity in partnership with the UW Alumni Association. Students are selected on the basis of of their personal statement, scholastic achievement, leadership activities, community service and financial need. Awards and are not automatically renewed for the subsequent year, although students are welcome to reapply.
When: Application deadline is August 31, 2009.

RSO Support
The UWAA is proud to sponsor registered student organizations (RSOs) and ASUW commissions for up to $500 per event, per year. In exchange, your group will volunteer alongside alumni and staff at a UWAA event or program (on a mutually agreed-upon date) during the calendar year following the grant. This process allows us to learn more about all of the excellent student-run programs on campus, while student groups explore a bit of the alumni life that awaits them.

Multicultural Alumni Partnership (MAP) Endowed Scholarship
Who: This endowed scholarship is available to continuing UW students with at least one quarter of study at the UW.
What: MAP will award up to five partial scholarships at its Bridging the Gap Breakfast on Homecoming Saturday each year.
When: August 2009 (Check back for the official due date!)

Coaches Tour Regional Scholarship Program
Who: These scholarships are available to UW juniors and seniors from the Tacoma, Spokane, Everett, Bellingham, Yakima, Port Orchard and Longview areas.
What: The scholarships vary from $500 to $2,000, depending on the funds raised by regional volunteers the prior year.
Deadline: Spring quarter for spring quarter distribution.
UW Young Alumni Club Scholarship
Who: This scholarship is available to incoming freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors.
What: This scholarship is based on annuities from our endowed scholarship fund. Scholarships will vary, but currently run around $1,200, based on financial need.
Requirements: You must apply for financial aid to be eligible. If you are eligible, you will be invited to apply after having filled out a FAFSA (Free Application for Student Aid). The FAFSA must be filed before Feb. 28 each year for the next academic year.
When: Application deadlines occur quarterly.
