President's Letter
In 2009, the average student entering the University of Washington had a 3.72 GPA and scored 1208 on the SAT; 1,292 applicants earned a 4.0 GPA in high school. Of these groups, we award the largest number of scholarships annually. Our board members serve a four-year term and each member volunteers time, talent and resources to raise funds for UW student scholarships. More... |
The UW ranks 11th among research institutions that produced the most 2009-10 U.S. Fulbright Fellows. The UW was recently named to the 2009 President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll. Collectively, UW students engaged in more than 346,000 hours of service in 2009.
