COE Offers New Degree Concentration

Master of Education in Instructional Leadership Offered Jointly by C&I and EDLPS

The University of Washington College of Education is pleased to offer the Master of Education in Instructional Leadership (MIL), a unique degree program to prepare teachers who hold or aspire to leadership positions in their schools.

The MIL program addresses the challenges common to all teacher leaders, while providing an understanding of the variations in emerging leadership roles within the school setting. The curriculum blends theory and practice, drawing on the expertise of UW College of Education faculty as well as knowledgeable local experts. The program's flexible schedule allows students to complete the degree in two years or less, even when teaching full time.

The application deadline to begin the first program cohort (summer 2007) is March 2, 2007. The next MIL program cohort begins in 2009.

If you have questions or would like to discuss this program, please phone 206/ 543-1847 or click here for more information.
