
2003 History Lecture Series: Crafting Revolution, Envisioning America Professor Richard Johnson followed in the footsteps of Jon Bridgman in presenting the 31st Annual History Lectue Series. In it, he examined the complex relationship between three of the leading protagonists of the American Revolution: Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson and John Adams. Among a remarkable generation of leaders, the three stand out not only for their spectacular talents and colorful careers, but because each advanced a different vision for the United States.
