What if everyone in the UW community read the same book? A new project aimed at just that outcome launches this summer, with its first focus on the incoming freshman class. The UW Office of Undergraduate Academic Affairs wants all entering freshmen and transfer students to read Mountains Beyond Mountains, by Tracy Kidder, the true story of Dr. Paul Farmer and his quest to "cure the world."
The UW Alumni Association invites all alumni and friends of the university to participate: pick up a copy of the book, read it, and engage in conversations and interactions around the subject of the book.
