The UW Alumni Association is pleased to invite you to take part in Now Urbanism: City-making in the 21st Century and Beyond, the 2010-11 John E. Sawyer Seminar of Comparative Cultures, part of UW's NEXT CITY initiative.
Under the leadership of Interim University President Phyllis Wise, NEXT CITY: Sustainable Urbanization is serving as a university-wide theme between 2009 and 2011 to focus attention on the University of Washington's urban teaching, research, and outreach activities. The Simpson Center for the Humanities has developed a series of public seminars, Now Urbanism, featuring panels that will explore the major issues and prospective futures of the urban age.
All lectures are from 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m., and take place in Kane Hall, on UW's Seattle campus.
