The College Search Process

Tues. May 24, 2016      6 p.m.

Johnson Hall, Room 102, UW Seattle

Applying to college can be an intimidating experience for any high school student—and their parents, too. There’s so much to do during this important milestone, from organizing a variety of applications and finding the right school to taking standardized tests and writing essays. And a lot’s changed since you might have applied to college.

The College Search Process seminar aims to make the whole process a little less daunting. Led by independent college consultant and Edge Academics founder Emily Gallagher, parents and 9th–11th grade students will learn about the ins and outs of the college search and decision making process.

Admission

UWAA Members: $10 for a family of 4
Non-members: $15 for a family of 4

After the seminar, attendees are invited to stay for an optional 30 minute presentation from UW Admissions from 8:00 to 8:30 p.m.

About Emily Gallagher

Please note: This seminar has been developed to assist students and parents with the college admissions process in general rather than University of Washington admission specifically. Participation in this program will have no effect on a student’s application status should they decide to apply to the UW. Factors such as demonstrated interest and alumni affiliation are not considered in the review process.
