Sing Out! For America Featuring The Brothers Four

Sat. Nov. 11, 2017      7 p.m.

Edmonds Center for the Arts

in 1956, four fraternity brothers at UW began singing as The Brothers Four.   Celebrating their golden anniversary,   The Brothers Four have delighted millions with their trademark vocal blend for five exciting decades. Folk Songs and Love Songs from America, Europe, Africa and Asia round out a fabulous repertoire of acoustic tunes old and new.

The Brothers Four were pioneers in the musical movement which came to be know as the “folk revival”, and of the few groups from those times still performing today. Their all-acoustic presentation consists of guitars, banjo, mandolin, upright bass, and of course the trademark rich blend of their four voices. An evening with this quartet is an unforgettable time of pure, acoustic music and entertainment.

On November 11, The Brothers Four join the Sno-King Community Chorale for “Sing Out! America,” with a portion of proceeds going to the UW Student Veterans Community Fund.

The audience felt it immediately; with the first song, concertgoers were luxuriating in melted butter, while a warmth greater than music emanated from the stage.
