In 2013, Alaska Governor Bill Walker kicked off his campaign for Governor as a Republican. Later that year, he decided to run as a non-partisan candidate. In December 2014, he and Lieutenant Governor Byron Mallott took office and became the first non-partisan administration in Alaska history. Join the Evans School as they bring Alaska Governor Bill Walker to campus to discuss his experience in office leading as an independent.
