ONLINE ALUMNI DIRECTORY HELP What information from my alumni profile can others see? Here is a table showing what information about you is displayed to UWAA members by default, and what is not displayed until you "opt it in." Note that only UWAA members can search the directory.
How do I update my own information? Use your UW NetID to log on. If you don't have a UW NetID, get one today. Please allow 24 hours after you receive your UW NetID before trying to log onto the Online Alumni Directory. On the first page you see after logging on, select "Update My Profile."
On the profile update page, you will see a form with fields of data from various sources including the UW alumni database and student database. Information that you can change is displayed in boxes that you can edit using your mouse and keyboard.
"Yes/no" radio buttons allow you to select which elements of your personal contact information will be displayed to UWAA members who are searching the directory.
If you want to be removed completely from the Online Alumni Directory, send an email to uwalumni@u.washington.edu, or call us at 1-800-AUW-ALUM, and we will set your "directory release flag" so that your record will not appear in the Online Alumni Directory as a part of any search results. (You will still be able to access your own record to submit profile changes.) Note on update cycles: When you make a change to your profile in the Online Alumni Directory, changed settings will be visible immediately. However, please allow 2 to 4 weeks for changes to be made permanently in the alumni database. |
