Bob Charlo
PBS used Bob Charlo's photograph "Nespelem"—of a teepee on the Colville Reservation in central Washington—as the signature, iconic image to promote a five-part documentary series on the Native American experience called "We Shall Remain." Charlo, '04, (inset) a member of the Kalispel Tribe in Eastern Washington, is a photographer based in South King County. He is well known for teaching photography to youngsters living on the Muckleshoot Reservation. Charlo was photographed July 1, 2009 by Karen Orders on the Muckleshoot Reservation.
