First Take: Power to The Purple |

 You don’t necessarily expect to see President Mark A. Emmert, ’75, Tyrone Willingham or Harry the Husky on the bus. But that’s where they’ll be this fall, as part of a two-month campaign to promote Husky pride. Starting this month, “Real Dawgs Wear Purple” ads will appear on the sides of 40 King County METRO buses and at least four billboards around town. Along with Emmert, Willingham and Harry, the ads feature basketball coaches Lorenzo Romar and Tia Jackson and distinguished alumna Assunta Ng, ’74, ’79—all sporting proud smiles and plenty of purple. |
