Undergrads Take Over Mary Gates Hall—For Research Print
On Friday, May 16, more than 600 UW undergraduates will present their research findings in Mary Gates Hall as the University of Washington holds its 11th Annual Undergraduate Research Symposium. The half-day event gives students an opportunity to show their contributions to the UW’s $1 billion research enterprise. Subjects of their presentations span the arts, humanities and social sciences as well as natural sciences. Undergraduates from other local universities and colleges will also present their findings. Held from noon to 5 p.m., the symposium is open to the public. Alumni who presented at this event as students are particularly encouraged to attend. Presented by the Undergraduate Research Program, the symposium is also supported by the Office of Research, Undergraduate Academic Affairs, the UW Alumni Association and the Mary Gates Endowment for Students.
