Coaches Tour 2007
It’s not every day that you get to play golf with Tyrone Willingham and have dinner with Lorenzo Romar. It’s every year. Presented by Air Van, the 36th Annual Coaches Tour will be rolling across Washington this May and June, with stops at Tacoma, Spokane, Everett, Longview, Port Orchard, Bellingham and Yakima. The “big four” of UW Athletics will all be present—Willingham, Romar, Women’s Basketball Coach June Daugherty and Athletics Director Todd Turner—along with members of their coaching staffs and dozens of devoted Husky sports fans. Participants can play a round of golf with the coaches, then join them for dinner at the Husky Insider Banquet and bid on Husky Experience packages in a live auction. Each event benefits UW students and student-athletes from the region where it’s held. Last year, the tour generated more than $54,000 for athletic and UWAA academic scholarships—an all-time record.
