Who does Tyrone Willingham consider the most underrated college football player in the country? We don’t know, but you can ask him yourself at one of the 35th Annual Coaches Tour events—right after you’re done talking to Lorenzo Romar about his all-time starting five. Coaches Tour, presented by Air Van, is a chance for Husky fans throughout the state to rub elbows with, and bend the ears of, the leading lights of UW athletics—coaches Tyrone Willingham, Lorenzo Romar and June Daugherty among others, plus Athletics Director Todd Turner. It’s also a chance to help raise scholarship money, both by attending and by bidding on items in a live auction. Last year, the tour drummed up more than $53,000 for athletic and UWAA academic scholarships. The tour includes stops in Tacoma (May 8), Everett (May 22) and Bellingham (May 25). In June it will visit Spokane, Longview, Port Orchard and Yakima. All seven locations feature Husky Insider Banquets and golf tournaments.
