UW Farm

Since 2004, parsnips like this whopper and other edible delights have sprung from the fertile soil of the UW Farm. The farm—located off the Burke Gilman Trail near the Botany Greenhouse—was started by four faculty members and several students to educate the UW community about the global impacts of our food choices. Today, the UW Farm is incorporated into the curriculum of introductory ecology classes and has more than 400 student members. What a tasty way to learn.
