Recent Graduates Offered New E-mail Service

In October, the UW Alumni Association took one more step into the world of the Internet by launching its first on-line service—life-time e-mail forwarding. Currently, more than 14,000 recent UW graduates are eligible to register for a UW alumni e-mail address providing free message forwarding for life.

The alumni association plans to review the service over the first six months of operation and, barring any serious conflicts, introduce the same service to other alumni. In addition to e-mail forwarding, the association is exploring other Internet services, such as e-mail newsletters, an on-line alumni directory, alumni chat groups and Web-based e-mail accounts.

Alumni who graduated in August 1998 or later may register on-line for their lifetime e-mail address. Select the Lifetime E-mail Forwarding link at the UW Alumni Association Web site. Alumni must have an active e-mail account, and a UW NetID and password to register.
