UW Tacoma Alumni Events

The UW Tacoma Alumni Association (UWTAA) focuses its efforts on fund-raising, student recruitment, lobbying the Washington State legislature, fostering support of the UW Tacoma branch campus and promoting career networking within the greater Tacoma community.

UWTAA is a partner club of the UW Alumni Association. Membership in UWTAA is free with membership in UWAA, which is $45 annually. The UW Alumni Association offers members a variety of benefits, including lifelong learning opportunities, personal and financial services, professional networking, and volunteer programs.

• UWT Book Talk with Mona Lisa Savoy - Spring 2006
  Louisiana poet, folklorist, and scholar Mona Lisa Saloy read from her 2005 T.S. Eliot Prize-winning collection of poems, Red Beans and Ricely Yours.
• UW Tacoma Apple Cup Viewing Party - Fall 2005
  Our annual Apple Cup party had UWT grads gather at the Mattress Facotry.
• An Evening with Thad Koza - Spring 2005
  In conjuction with the Tall Ships Fleet festival, UW Libraries presented a special evening with renowned author and photographer Thad Koza.
• UW Tacoma Alumni Reunion BBQ - Spring 2005
  UW Tacoma Alumni enjoyed a tropical paradise, dancing, karaoke and loads of lip-smacking food at the Hawaiian-style event.
• Apple Cup on the Big Screen - Fall 2004
  Alumni enjoyed pool, darts, party food, and watched the Apple Cup game on the big screen
• UW Tacoma Lecture Series - Fall 2004
  A series of three powerful lectures kicked off the first ever UW Tacoma Lecture Series
