Tri-Cities Area UW Alumni Chapter

Welcome
Location of Tri-Cities, Wash.Located at the convergence of the Columbia, Snake and Yakima Rivers in southeastern Washington, the Tri-Cities is the second largest metropolitan area in the eastern part of the state.

  • One of the fastest growing areas in the nation, the Tri-Cities area of Kennewick, Pasco and Richland plus outlying communities is also the sixth largest population area (just over 200,000) in the entire state.
  • Blessed with 350 days of sunshine, light rainfall and very mild winters, the Tri-Cities is known for its agriculture, water activities, and an economy based in science and technology.
  • While our area is known as a game sanctuary for those Washington State Cougars (Pullman is less than two hours away!), our Huskies dominate both academically and athletically in the southeastern corner of the state.

Famous Columbia River Cable Bridge, Tri-Cities, Wash. There are more than 300 dues-paying UWAA members in southeastern Washington. While many miles may separate us among Moses Lake, Tri-Cities, Prosser, Walla Walla, and Clarkston, our love for the purple and gold is strong. We stick together, for we are the minority in a desert of crimson and gray. Tri-Cities UWAA members work together to present a variety of events that will appeal to all Huskies and Huskies at Heart, Jock or Jill, Junior or JD. Please contact Karen (see below), our Southeastern Washington chapter leader, with any questions, suggestions, or events of interest.
