Christine Jou
Christine is currently entering her senior year at the UW and is majoring in communications and in business administration with a finance concentration. She maintains a GPA of 3.91. What she likes best about the UW are her professors and the variety of activities on campus. A notable UW opportunity that will give Christine leadership experience is teaching elementary school students through Junior Achievement, a non-profit dedicated to educate and inspire young people to value free enterprise, business and economics to improve the quality of their lives. In her spare moments, Christine enjoys spending quality time with her family. Christine is a graduate of Henry M. Jackson High School (Class of 2001).
Hong Nguyen
Hong is currently a junior at the UW and is majoring in psychology. She is researching child development in Korean and American families and maintains a GPA of 3.9. Hong is also a teaching assistant in statistics, a remarkable opportunity to see all that goes into preparing for the class. She is grateful to have met some amazing people at the UW, many of whom are her professors. “Professors are your best resources,” she says, and she has enjoyed getting to know them. After hours of studying, Hong allows her friends to pull her away to enjoy volleyball and canoeing at the Arboretum. Hong is a graduate of Cascade High School (Class of 2001).
