UWAA Clubs, Chapters & Contacts

Club, Chapter & Proud Husky Program Guidelines

The UWAA offers three types of programs:

What Is a Chapter?
An alumni group with respect to a defined geographic region that supports the missions of the University and the UWAA through its activities.

What Is a Club?
An alumni group whose members have a common interest in a particular academic, professional or extra-curricular activity related to a specific program, department, school, college or campus, or who have a common interest arising out of their University-recognized, co-curricular activities or common cultural or professional interests. Members of the club support the mission of the University and the UWAA through their activities.

What Is a Proud Husky?
A volunteer who serves as a contact person for a geographic region, academic unit or special interest group not served by an officially chartered club or chapter. This program is designed for areas or groups that do not have a sufficient number of alumni and adequate volunteer base to sustain a viable club or chapter, or where the constituency is interested in a limited number of organized activities. These groups will have an Alumni Association presence through the Proud Husky program.
