Stan is one of the most popular lecturers at UW, famous for his "Rocks for Jocks" course. Alumni have been flocking to special events featuring Stan for years. Don't miss this opportunity!
The Robert Mondavi Wine & Food Center was founded in 1989 by Robert Mondavi to provide chefs and the public with a unique opportunity to learn more about wine and its integral partnership with food. The center includes a rose garden and a sculpture park (including some pieces by renowned Italian transplant Beniamino Bufano, such as at left).
Mark Crisler, '89, on the staff at the center, says, "Having personally been to previous UWAA alumni barbecues and understanding the goal of creating a warm, fun and eventful function for our alumni to reminisce, rejoice and meet new friends, I'm pleased we're able to present a delicious menu for this year."
The Menu - Alder wood-grilled Pacific salmon - White corn polenta cake and chipotle sauce - Grilled Shelton Farms chicken breasts w/ tamarind barbecue sauce - Red beans and saffron rice - Apple cider-laced red cabbage salad - Apple buttermilk cake with loganberry glaze - Toasted almond ice cream - Ice cream sundae bars for kids - And, of course, Robert Mondavi wines.
