About Michael Crandall

Michael CrandallMichael Crandall is currently Technology Manager at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in the Global Libraries Program. For the past four years he has worked with a team to provide public access to the Internet in public libraries throughout the United States and a number of other countries. Most recently, he was involved in the creation of a national public access computing portal, WebJunction.org, hosted by OCLC Online Library Computer Center, Inc. Previously, he worked in the corporate world (Microsoft and Boeing) for 15 years developing enterprise portal and search services and other mechanisms for delivery of electronic information to end users. In January 2005, Michael will become Chair of the Information School's Masters of Science in Information Management program. During this morning's talk, he will provide an "MSIM Community Update."

Parking at the Washington Athletic Club is available in the WAC garage at 1409 Sixth Ave. (entrance on Sixth Ave.), one block north of the WAC building, or in the City Centre Garage at Sixth Ave. and Union St. (entrance on Union St.).
