Nonprofit organizations and many public agencies with affiliated foundations are increasingly dependent on philanthropic support to deliver essential services and programs. As a nonprofit executive or public manager responsible for securing the financial resources required to accomplish your mission, you will want to know the essential principles and techniques of nonprofit fundraising.
Participants will learn the fundamentals of fundraising and philanthropy; the interrelationships of the public, private and nonprofit sectors; the role of ethics in fundraising; how to identify your prospects and develop a donor constituency; and, how to articulate your Case for Support. This course will teach the skills necessary to raise funds from individuals, foundations and corporations, and how to create a fundraising plan that incorporates a capital and/or endowment campaign.
