Nonprofit Leadership Conference
We are pleased to announce the 12th Annual Washington State Nonprofit Conference, to be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2006 at The Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue. The conference website can be found at www.npconference.org. For the past 11 years this one-day conference has been a premier gathering of nonprofit leaders, supporters, and board members -- coming together to learn, broaden perspectives, and connect with peers throughout the sector. We again hope to convene more than 300 nonprofit and community leaders representing a wide variety of organizations and positions from across Washington State.
Brian Gallagher, CEO of United Way of America, will present the opening keynote address. A lunch-time plenary will include Ruth McCambridge, Editor of The Nonprofit Quarterly. Sessions, designed for leaders with varying levels of experience, will range from hands-on skills to exploration of emerging trends, models, and current issues.
Volunteer and Attend for FREE!
If you would like to volunteer (and thus attend the conference for free), contact Jeanne Cragin at Executive Alliance (jcragin@exec-alliance.org, 206-328-3836) as soon as possible. You will need to provide Jeanne with your availability on the event day (April 5th), between 6:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. If you are only available to volunteer for part of the conference, she will need to know your availability for a "packet stuffing party" the weekend before the conference (pizza included), or your availability to help with administrative tasks at some other point.
Volunteer tasks will include: set-up; registration; room monitoring; people-moving; and conference clean-up. After and between tasks you will have time to listen to the keynote speakers and attend sessions. Your parking and lunch will be complimentary.
We hope to see you on April 5th.
