Alumni Needed to Help With Admissions
We ask for your help in reaching out to newly admitted students for the Fall 2006.
In an increasingly competitive environment for the best students, the top policy programs in the country will be courting the same pool of students that the Evans School has admitted. Many of these programs have significant amounts of financial aid to offer students. In the current budget climate at the UW, the impact alumni can have in helping us to recruit these students is invaluable. We need you to lend your voice and experience about the quality of the Evans School in encouraging the newly admitted students to choose the UW.
During the coming months, we would like each newly admitted student to receive a phone call from an alum to congratulate them on their admission to the School and to answer any questions they may have about your experience at the UW. Alumni will be matched with new admits based on policy interest, and, if applicable, by location and/or undergraduate institution.
Please send an e-mail to Jason Smith, Director of Student Services, (smithjpn@u.washington.edu) ASAP indicating:
- how many calls you can make
- your location (city, state, country)
- your undergraduate institution, and
- your policy area of interest
- any other preferences in calling students
Instructions and further information will be sent to all those who are interested in participating. Please respond to Jason Smith by e-mail at smithjpn@u.washington.eduno later than Friday, March 18.
Even if you can only make a limited number of calls, your participation will make a tremendous difference!
