Garb Day 2005 celebrated at Pack Forest with logger sports, food and firelight.

Garb Day 2005 festivities at Pack Forest May 14 were attended by about 60 guests. This year's activities included the usual logging sports (wood chopping, crosscut sawing, pole climbing, limber pole, axe throwing, and log rolling) and campfire. Additional highlights included a salmon feast, live bluegrass music, a late night pinata fest, and Swiss candles.
Swiss candles created by Prof. Peter Schiess (left) were a highlight of the evening.

Thanks to Brian and Carrie Spradlin and the rest of the Forest Club members for organizing; to Gordy and Mooche for continued support of the Logging Sports team; to the musicians; to the Pack Forest dining hall staff and Phil Hurvitz for cooking a great meal; and to Prof. Peter Schiess for the "Swiss candles".

Plan now to join the fun at the 2006 event. Date and details in the spring enewsletter.
