UW Names Business School to Honor Michael G. FosterUniversity of Washington president Mark A. Michael G. Foster School of Business advisor and longtime University of Washington volunteer Artie Buerk (BA 1958) received the Gates Volunteer Service Award at the Sixth Annual Recognition Gala on Sept. 7, 2007 for his years of outstanding volunteer leadership at the UW. More...

Ken Wise, BA ‘79
Ken Wise has joined West Coast Bank as Regional Credit Administrator at the company's Tukwila, Washington facility. In his 27 years of Northwest banking experience, Wise most recently served as a credit administrator at Umpqua bank, and as chief credit officer for a Lakewood, Washington community bank.
Chief Credit Officer Hadley Robbins said, "With Ken's diverse background in commercial and industrial (C&I) and commercial real estate lending, he brings a broad base of lending experience, as well as a deep understanding of our market place in Washington. We're pleased to welcome him to our Puget Sound team."

Cristopher Hollingsworth has joined AutoZone, Incorporated as the National Director of Sales for Commercial Government markets. In his prior position, Cris was responsible for commercial sales leadership over the vertical markets initiative at OfficeMax Contract, Incorporated. At AutoZone, Incorporated; Cris will oversee the commercial government selling activities for North America. AutoZone, Incorporated is a Fortune 500 company and the industry leader providing consumer and business solutions to the aftermarket automotive parts industry with nearly $6 billion in annual revenue and over $800 million in commercial sales.
John Christiansen
Land Title Guarantee Company has announced the appointment of John S. Christiansen as President of Land Title Agency of Arizona. Christiansen will oversee all operations for this Arizona title insurance company.
Christiansen began his title industry career over 15 years ago with First American Title-Arizona Division, holding positions as Sales Manager, County Manager, President and Regional Manager. In 2002, he was chosen to head First American’s National Residential Services division.
Christiansen is a graduate of the University of Washington with a B.A. Degree in Business and Marketing. He spent 15 years in commercial construction and development, holding senior management positions with three prominent Southern California commercial building companies. He holds a Certificate in Commercial Project Management and Development from the University of California.
