Montgomery was named the new chief operating officer for Spectra Logic, a data storage innovator, on January 19, 2006. Montgomery joins Spectra Logic after serving as a key management leader for Agilent Technologies and Hewlett-Packard Company.
Jim Beattie, MBA ‘89
Beattie started a new job with the Cincinnati Reds on January 24, 2006. As the former Baltimore Orioles general manager, Beattie has been hired as a special adviser to evaluate the club’s pitching.
Harry Leider, MBA ‘89
Baltimore-based XLHealth announced that Harry L. Leider, its chief medical officer, has been added to the board of directors for the American College of Physician Executives (ACPE).
Lars Nilsen, MBA ‘89
Jones Soda Co. announced on February 22, 2006 the hiring of Lars P. Nilsen as the new Executive Vice President of Sales. Nilsen will be responsible for all sales for the company and will be based out of the Seattle headquarters.
Richard Conner, MBA ‘97
Conner is working as the Vice President of Sales Operations for Philips Medical Systems. He and his wife Leigh, live in the Seattle area, and they spend their free time climbing in North Cascades.
Dominique Gaillard, MBA ‘97
Gaillard has a new addition to the family and has this to report, “I adopted her on April 4, 2005 from Hunan Province in China. The adoption process took 14 months, and she was 8 ½ months old when I got her. Her Chinese name is Xiaohua Gaillard (“Morning Flower”) and I named her Kaeli Xiaohua Gaillard.”
