    Undergrads take 4th Prize in Business Plan Competition
    Sanifits, a team of UW undergraduate students in business and mechanical engineering, took home $7,000 in seed money for their touch-less waste disposal system.

    Business Week: It’s Not Just a Magazine Anymore
    Everyone talks about how we should celebrate the Business School’s excellent undergraduate program, but rarely does anyone do anything about it. Long Phan has done something about it. In May, the junior finance major masterminded the School’s first Business Week, a multi-day celebration of the undergraduate business program’s many achievements that have landed it in U.S. News & World Report’s top 30 for more than a decade.

    Business School Students Win NCAA Championships
    In the span of one week in June, two undergraduate students at the UW Business School won individual NCAA championships. First James Lepp, a junior studying entrepreneurship and marketing, won the NCAA division I men’s golf championship, a first for the University of Washington. Then Kate Soma, a senior studying marketing, became the most decorated women’s track and field athlete in UW history, winning the NCAA pole vault title.

    Now that the 2004-05 academic year is a wrap, the Business School has bestowed its annual awards honoring top faculty in the undergraduate program.
