    Tuesday, April 19, 12:30 p.m. Douglas Forum, Bank of America Executive Education Center
    Dennis Bakke will present on his newly released book Joy at Work on Tuesday, April 19th. In this groundbreaking work, Bakke tells the true story of AES, the global energy company -- and how, as cofounder and CEO, he challenged the business establishment with revolutionary ideas to create a place where all employees could genuinely look forward to work and actually have fun on the job.

    MBA Class Reunions Coming this Fall
    As it turns out, you can go home again.
    The UW Business School will welcome back alumni for the first annual MBA Reunion Weekend, September 23-24, 2005. This year's event will honor the classes of 1980, 1985, 1990, 1995 and 2000 in the MBA, Evening MBA, Executive MBA and all other master's degree programs offered by the Business School

    Challenge for Charity Auction Raises Most Money Ever
    University of Washington MBA students raised $128,000 at the Challenge for Charity Auction held, Friday, February 25 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Seattle. This is the most money ever raised by UW C4C.

    First Global Social Entrepreneurship Competition a Success
    Teams of both graduate and undergraduate students from the UW and around the world presented their creative and commercially sustainable solutions for reducing poverty through new business development at the Global Social Entrepreneurship Competition held at the UW Business School on February 25th. The competition's focus on social entrepreneurship required that competitors' business plans demonstrate both social and financial returns on investments.

    Changes to MSIS/TMMBA Programs
    Effective February 2005, the UW Business School MS/MBA in Information Systems program will no longer be offered as an option for prospective students. Professionals interested in studying information systems in the context of business should consider the Technology Management MBA (TMMBA) with a concentration in information systems.
