2005 IKEA International Case Competition Results
The IKEA International Case Competition is an annual event in which teams of undergraduate business students apply their knowledge and skills to a real-life international business problem. Panels of corporate and faculty judges evaluate team analyses and recommendations based on their diagnosis of the problem, application of theory and classroom concepts, ability to communicate ideas, teamwork, and creativity.
Congratulations to the four teams that won the preliminary heats of the competition and then competed in the final round on Thursday afternoon. The four finalist teams were:
From the A Flight: Christine Jou, Scott Bilikas, Elizabeth Rubin, Eric Kinyon
From the B Flight: Marie Villasin, Jinho Paik, Man Lung (Ken) Hui, Karen Cheung
From the C Flight: Ryan Faucett, Gaurav Mehta, Stephen Medawar, Kenny Kadar
From the D Flight: Greg Young, Matt Fox, Alisha Lehr, Brendan Lawrence
The overall winner in the Final Round was the team of Greg Young, Matt Fox, Alisha Lehr, and Brendan Lawrence.
Some or all of the finalist teams will be invited to represent the UW Business School in other Case Competitions that are being conducted during the remainder of the year.
