    Viewpoints: New UWAA Publication Focusing on Diversity
    Viewpoints, which was launched in Fall 2004, promotes multiculturalism at the University of Washington and reaches, connects, and celebrates alumni and friends of diverse backgrounds. Viewpoints, which has a circulation of 15,000, is produced by the UW Alumni Association in partnership with the diversity community of the University of Washington and UWAA.

    More Than 5,000 Celebrate by Coming Together for Washington
    On Oct. 15, the University of Washington hosted Come Together Washington, a celebration of community and University achievements that also marked the public launch of Campaign UW: Creating Futures, the UW's eight-year, $2 billion fund-raising effort. Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates spoke to more than 5,000 in a packed Hec Edmundson Pavilion.

    Looking for 1970's African American Graduates
    The Business School's Business and Economic Development Program (BEDP) will host the third annual Celebration of African American Business Achievement dinner on February 17, 2005 at the Westin Hotel. This year, we will recognize and honor all African American alumni from the UW Business School who graduated in the 1970's. We have a list of 65 alumni but we know that there are more than 100 African American alumni who graduated in the 1970's.

    Business Leadership Banquet a Great Success
    Nearly 300 members of the business community, alumni, friends and patrons of the Business School gathered at the Westin on September 23rd to honor UW Business School alumni and business leaders. This premier annual event raises money for diversity scholarships.

    Online Alumni Directory - find your friends
    The UWAA Online Alumni Directory is a searchable database of UW alumni showing name, city and state of residence, class years, and other degree information. Any alumnus can find his or her own record, update it and adjust settings to display all, some or no personal contact information.

    Introducing 2005 UWAA Tours
    The 2005 tour line-up for UW Alumni Tours is now available. Choose from exciting destinations such as South America, Italy, Iceland, Russia and more. The UWAA offers top-quality group tours where you can explore the world with other UW alumni and friends. The full 2005 tour schedule is available online.

    UW Through the Years: A Historical Exhibit
    In 1861, when civil war loomed, a handful of Seattle settlers began crafting a future for this region. They foresaw expansive growth in industry and community and knew that with prosperity came a need for improved educational opportunity. In May of that year, ground was broken in what is now downtown Seattle, and construction began on the territory's first University building. Join us for this exciting look through the years at the unfolding University of Washington.

    MBA Alumni Reception with the Dean
    Join us in celebrating our alumni community. Light hors d'oeuvres, wine, and beer provided. Please register for this free event by going to the MBA Reception sign-up.

    Dean's Business Breakfast Series
    These monthly breakfasts, held on the UW campus, feature presentations by local business leaders. Learn about local trends and network with UW alumni and members of the business community. The cost per lecture is $15 and includes breakfast and parking.

    Seattle Apple Cup Viewing Party
    Get together with your fellow Huskies to watch the Apple Cup.
    When: Saturday, November 20, beginning at 3 p.m.
    Where: The Premier, 1700 1st Avenue South, Seattle
    Admission: $5 for UWAA members and UW students, and $10 for the general public. Includes BBQ buffet.
