Business School Names Interim Dean
Last month, Dean Yash Gupta announced that he will be leaving the Business School at the end of June to become Dean of the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California. Associate Dean Vance Roley has agreed to become Acting Dean of the Business School, effective July 1, subject to the Regents' approval at their June meeting. Please join us in welcoming Vance to his new position and in giving him help and support to keep the Business School moving forward.
"Serving as Dean of the UW Business School and working with our great faculty, staff and alumni to shape a new mission and direction has been the most rewarding experience of my career, " Gupta said. "I'm sad to be leaving, but I'm confident we have the strong leadership within the School, and the strong commitment from our alumni and business partners, to achieve all the goals we've set for this great institution."
A committee to launch a national search for a permanent dean has been appointed. Dean Sandra Archibald, Evans School of Public Affairs, has graciously agreed to serve as chair of the search committee. Others serving on the committee are:
