Just think of it: Huskies all over the country gathering on the same weekend to celebrate Husky Pride. Husky Summer Weekend '05 is a weekend filled with fun Husky activities in neighborhoods across the world. Whether the event is a picnic, potluck, pool party, backyard barbecue, softball game, beach party, hike, summer concert, or even a day at the local fishing hole, our goal is to get as many Huskies together at as many parties as possible.

Anchorage, Alaska
CANCELLED: HSW Alaska Golf Tournament
What: The Alaska Chapter of the UWAA will be hosting a Golf Tournament at the Palmer Golf Course. Come spend a day on a beautiful golf course located on a bluff above the Matanuska River and in the shadow of Pioneer's Peak getting to know your fellow Washington Alumni. The tournament will be followed by a catered BBQ at the golf course.

What: UW Alumni night at Coors Field! For this year's Husky Summer Weekend celebration, come watch the Colorado Rockies take on the Washington Nationals at Coors Field. Join other UW alumni and friends living along the Front Range for some good, old-fashioned baseball, or for some dinner and drinks before the game.
When: Friday, August 12, 2005. Dinner at LoDo's Bar and Grill at 5 p.m. Game time is 7:05 p.m.
Where: LoDo's Bar and Grill, 20th and Market Street. Coors Field, 20th and Blake Street, Lower Downtown Denver.

Helena, Montana
What: Montana's Proud Huskies will gather for a cruise on the "Gates of the Mountains" boat tour! A wonderful adventure following in Lewis and Clark's trail where Lewis remarked "the rocks seem ready to tumble on us." The exciting illusion of the gates of the mountains closing as the boat passes through the canyon is a wonder.
When: Saturday, August 13, 2005, boat departs at 11 a.m.
Where: The boat leaves from the Upper Holt Lake marina which is 18 miles north of Helena or 68 miles south of Great Falls.
Cost: $10 for adults, $9 for seniors, $6 for children and free for children under 4 years old.

What: It's Husky Summer Weekend '05, so come spend the day at the beach with alumni and friends. Bring your beach chair, swim wear, and your Husky Spirit.

Where: This year our party will be held on the beach between the Hilton Hawaiian Village and Hale Koa "Barefoot Bar" aka Ilima Park. Look for UWAA Banner.
Note: If we're not at the above location, our back up plan is between Hale Koa "Barefoot Bar" and Army Museum aka Museum Quad Park. Look for UWAA Banner.

What: HSW Picnic on Governors Island! Last year we sailed around Governor's Island, this year let's sail (well, take a ferry) to it! From NY1 News online: "Breathtaking views, lush open space, and historic architecture. Governors Island is a hidden gem in the middle of New York harbor." We'll tour this diamond in the rough with a park ranger and then take our picnic on the grass esplanade. Please bring a picnic lunch and something to sit on.
