Alumni and student veterans are invited to mingle and share conversation while enjoying complimentary appetizers and beverages. Business casual, military uniform encouraged.

Wednesday, Nov. 6

ROTC Open House
1-3 p.m.
Clark Hall, UW Seattle

Enjoy an open house and tour of Clark Hall, the fourth-oldest building on campus and home to the UW's celebrated ROTC programs.

UW Bothell Alumni/Student Veteran Reception
4-6 p.m.
Veterans Archway, UW Bothell

Join UW Bothell Chancellor and U.S. Navy veteran Dr. Wolf Yeigh for a hosted reception. The gathering will recognize student and alumni veterans while acknowledging the sacrifices made during their service.

Employer Panel: "Employers Seeking Veterans"

This moderated panel will give veteran students and alumni the opportunity to hear first-hand from employer representatives about succeeding in today's job market, what networking is all about, and how to best translate military experience into the civilian workplace.

Workshop: "Welcoming All Students: Teaching Student Veterans"

UW faculty, students and staff educators will discuss classroom challenges for student veterans and identify practices to promote learning.

Husky Football's "Committed to Service" Game vs. Colorado

Husky football will recognize veterans for their service to the country. Join us for a celebration of their contributions and the acknowledgement of the 2013-14 Distinguished Alumni Veteran Award recipient, Mr. Charles Matthaei, '43.

The UW community will honor men and women throughout our region for their dedication and service in the U.S. Armed Forces. The event includes a performance from the Husky Marching Band, recognition of the 2013 Distinguished Alumni Veteran Award recipient, Mr. Charles Matthaei, '43, and a post-ceremony reception in Kane Hall.

On-campus parking for the Veterans Day Celebration and Ceremony is free to the public. ADA parking is available on level C1 of the Central Plaza Parking Garage (enter at NE 41st Street and 15th Avenue NE) or in lots N1 or N5 (enter from NE 45th Street and 17th Avenue NE to Memorial Way NE).
