Anchorage - End of Summer Event

It's hard to believe but the end of summer and the beginning of UW football season are just around the corner! Please join your fellow UW Alumni for a family-friendly end-of-summer event at the Alaska Native Heritage Center. It'll be a great opportunity to check out a local cultural treasure, get to know your fellow alumni, meet their families, and just enjoy a nice afternoon out.

When: Saturday, August 28, 2010, 12 p.m. (1 p.m. if you’re not joining us for lunch)
Where: Alaska Native Heritage Center, 8800 Heritage Center Drive, Anchorage
Cost: $9.95 for adults, $6.95 for children 7-16 yrs old, free for 6 yrs and younger.

What to Bring: A dish to share if you’d like to enjoy a potluck lunch at 12 p.m. at the outdoor picnic deck/tables at the center after touring the center. The center has a café if you’d prefer to purchase your lunch/refreshments on your own.

RSVP: If you’re able to join us, please RSVP by August 20 by writing Renea at saade@oles.com or calling 907-771-7000. When you RSVP – please also indicate whether you’d like to participate in a group tour. The private group tour fee is $100 for each group of up to 8 people so if 8 people sign up for the group tour, the additional fee would be $12.50 per person. The fee will be more if less than 8 people participate. Advance reservations must be made for private group tours so we must have a head count in advance of the event.

Directions: The Heritage Center is located off of Muldoon (near the Target/Kohl’s shopping center). The address is 8800 Heritage Center Drive, Anchorage, Alaska.
