2007 UW Pride in 5 Video Contest
In case you missed it, here's what the Pride in 5 contest was all about:
Here’s a chance to showcase your Husky Pride—a very brief snippet of it, anyway. Take a tiny bite out of your 15 minutes of fame by entering the UWAA’s “Pride in 5” competition. Submit a 5-second video showing us your true colors (provided they’re purple and gold) between Sept. 19 and Oct. 22. Prizes will be awarded, and the winning entry will be announced at the 2007 Homecoming Rally.
Why enter? Well, the top 3 video get cash. The top 10 videos will also be shown at the 2007 Homecoming Rally and on the Huskytron during the Homecoming football game, assuring your eternal glory. Those are nice, but, really, it's all about Husky Pride. See the Pride in 5 rules page for more details.
The Winners
Congratulations to everyone who took part in the Pride in 5 contest! You can see all entries on the UW Pride in 5 group on YouTube. And without further ado, here's our winners:
1st Place - "Keep Your Purple On"
Jon Axell took home the $300 prize for the best Pride in 5 video!
2nd Place - "Husky Trumpet Boy"
Gary Peterson blasted his way to second place and is $200 richer for his 5 seconds.
3rd Place - "Pride in 5!!!"
Corbin Peterson gathered some loyal Dawgs and used a little editing magic to win $100.

- Norm Mah, Ted Lehberger and Jenni Hogan, KOMO 4
- Bobbi-Jo Marlin, KING 5

Here's the other seven finalists (in no particular order):
