Transportation & Parking Hints

Once you are in downtown San Antonio, all the game-related locations (Happy Hour, Warm Up, UWAA headquarters hotel, stadium) are in walking distance of one another. And, all these locations are convenient to the San Antonio Riverwalk, a required destination for anyone visiting the area. The historic Alamo itself is within the same walkable area.

The Valero Alamo Bowl web site has detailed information on driving directions to downtown San Antonio, as well as parking information and suggestions for public transportation.

Highlights from the Alamo Bowl web site:

• Highway 281/37 will be congested prior to kickoff
• The city of San Antonio maintains a downtown parking information site, with locations of garages and lots and rates (note: rates may be higher during special events)
• Public transportation during the Alamo Bowl will be provided by VIA Metropolitan Transit, and includes downtown bus routes and shuttles and park-and-ride options for those needing to get into downtown from outlying areas.
