Distinguished Alumni Veteran Award
Established in 2012, the Distinguished Alumni Veteran Award (DAVA) is given to a living UW Alumnus Veteran who made a positive impact on their local, national, or international community; the University of Washington and/or veteran's communities. The deadline for nomination submissions is August 16, 2013.
The Distinguished Alumni Veteran Award was established in 2012. It honors a living UW alum who has served in the armed forces and who has made a positive impact on their community. The first award was given to Herb Bridge. Read more.
Before making a nomination, please read the selection guidelines.
Nominations Via Mail
Supporting materials such as newspaper articles, electronic files, links to articles, etc. should be scanned, attached and emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org with "DAVA" and the nominee's name in the subject line.
Online Nomination Form
Use the online nomination form to submit basic information and a description of why your nominee should receive the DAVA Award. Any supporting documents (curriculum vitae, newspaper clippings, publications, etc.) must be sent by mail.
The DAVA Selection Committee is comprised of alumni, student, faculty and staff representatives from the University of Washington. The committee meets in September to review all nominations.
