Services for UW Students
The centerpiece of the UWAA's career porgram for students is Husky Career Network (formerly "Career Connections"), a worldwide network of more than 4400 UW alumni and friends of the university available online 24/7.
During what is typically a one-time exchange via phone or e-mail, each network contact can provide:
- General information about his field of work
- Tips about typical career paths in the field
- Information about his geographical area
In some cases, contacts may also be able to offer internship/job search tips, networking referrals, internship/job leads or an opportunity to meet at their worksite.
The UWAA also offers students a menu of career-related events throughout the year, highlighted by the annual Career Discovery Week in January.
