Diversity Networking Reception
UW Office of Minority Affairs
The UW Alumni Association and the Ethnic Cultural Center have teamed up to offer the UW Mentor Program. The ECC coordinates the program's fall quarter phase of student peer mentoring. For the Spring quarter phase the UWAA is producing a new Diversity Networking Reception. This reception is an opportunity for Mentor Program students—and students in other diversity programs from the UW Office of Minority Affairs and across the campus—to meet in a relaxed setting with UW alumni and friends from a wide range of career fields.
Diversity Networking Reception
Tuesday, April 5, 2011
3–5 p.m.
Cascade Room, Haggett Hall, UW Seattle
UW alumni and friends are invited to volunteer to serve as a table host at the reception to share your career experiences with students interested in your field.
Diversity Networking Reception table hosts help pave the way for today's students and recent grads to transition to the professional world by sharing about your career field, current position and organization, career path and lessons learned along the way. Participating students may also contact table hosts following the event re: follow-up questions, networking referrals, etc.
Sign up to be a table host at the Diversity Networking Reception.
Questions? Contact Chantal Carrancho at chantalc@uw.edu. Thanks for considering this opportunity to support the career development of deserving UW students.
